Taman Negara National Park is a protected area located in the centre of the Malayan peninsula. It harbours an extremely rich primary tropical rainforest that is one of the oldest in the world.
My suggestion
On the other side of the main entrance to the park is Kuala Tahan village. If you are on a shoestring budget, you will find plenty of low cost accommodation here and you will only have to cross the river by boat to get to the park.

Taman Negara, a Malaysian coastal forest reserve, is located on Penang island. It was declared a national park over 10 years ago.
My suggestion
If you wish to see the suspension bridge, the only attraction here that is not free, check that it is open as it has been undergoing repair work for quite some time now.
The western coast islands, less popular than the those on the oriental coast, will delight the visitors who venture there. Easily accessible from Kuala Lumpur, they present a diversity of landscapes and auras as well as a rich cultural heritage.
Malaysia is a surprising country in every way. And the cluster of lakes linked to one another that go by the name of Tasik Chini will definitely live up to expectations! If this is not the case, then maybe the lake's monster will leave you speechless; rumour has it that it haunts the depths!
