The small village of Lamayuru is perched in the Ladakh mountains. It's the starting point for treks in the Zanskar and must-see stop-off point on the route between Srinagar and Leh.
My suggestion
Don't just go there. Stay a night in Lamayuru to take the time to discover monks' rituals at dawn.
