Colombia's coffee-growing region, famous for its coffee plantations, lies in the centre of the country and extends over three different 'departments' (roughly equivalent to counties): Caldas, Quindio and Risaralda.

My suggestion

Take a light fleece with you to wear in the chilly mornings and on days when it rains, and spend as much time as you possibly can in this wonderful region.

Spend some time sipping and sampling the "tinto" coffees at one or more of the farms to be found distributed more or less all across the coffee-growing region.
