My suggestion
Try to camp over for at least one night, so that you can make the most of the beaches and surrounding nature. You can hire hammocks once you're there. Make sure you stock up on provisions in Santa Marta, as supplies in the park are limited and really expensive.

Tayrona National Natural Park is 1 hour away from the city of Santa Marta, on Colombia's Caribbean coast. It's a true oasis of calm and the lush natural beauty is perfect for going exploring and lazing around on the beach.
My suggestion
You can also opt to sleep in a hammock under the stars (and mosquito netting of course) and fall asleep to the music of the jungle. A memory that will last a lifetime!
Whether it's misty or sunny, you'll love the unusual landscape in the Cocora Valley. The enchanting ambiance and the sheer number of wax palms, a national symbol, are impressive, to say the least!
