The most mythical of sea passages, the "cape of storms" was long the main passage between Asia and Europe. Infamous for the difficulty of the passage, it is a place of legends and adventure.
That's what I had come for and I wasn't disappointed. Cape horn consists of a huge, bleak cliff of nearly 500 metres in height that faces the south. I suggest you go by boat and choose an itinerary that will take you around Horn Island. I loved the idea of seeing the same sight as the ancient sailors when they saw the awesome passage and prepared to cross it. 
Some tours propose to drop you off on Horn Island, which is only inhabited by the lighthouse keeper and his family. A large statue of an albatross pays tribute to the sailors who lost their lives during the crossing.
