I think that the Bay of Fundy is one of the most beautiful places you can visit during a <a href="/canada/">trip to the east of Canada</a>. The tides are very strong, having weathered the cliffs and rocks over time. Micmac legend says that the stormy seas were caused by a giant, thrashing whale. You can visit the Bay of Fundy by two means. Firstly there's the Fundy Trail, which has great views along the way. There are walking/cycle paths as well as a road, all of which have minimal impact on the environment. Secondly, you can go to Hopewell Rocks. Resembling giant flower pots, these weather-beaten rocks can only be seen at low tide and are submerged at high tide. Tourists can follow a fun circuit that explains the tides and local eco-system.
