When spending a few days in the Eastern Townships during a <a href="/canada/">trip to Quebec</a>, I experienced breathtaking landscapes featuring lakes and mountains. In addition, the region has a number of picturesque villages that are nice to visit. Whatever the time of year, the Eastern Townships offer a limitless choice of activities. Here are some that I managed to try for myself. You can ski in Bromont in winter, hike around Mount Orford or Sutton all year round, and see the flamboyant colours of a Quebecois autumn. You an also slide around in the snow in Mont Haltey or enjoy one of the region's various spas. Finally, you can enjoy the many lakes of the Eastern Townships to take a kayak trip or go bathing. A perfect location to enjoy nature and the open air, just two hours from Montreal.

The Eastern Townships are a tourist region located in Quebec to the south-west of Montreal.

Right in the south of Quebec province the Eastern Townships is made up of several towns on the frontiers of the United States, which is why this part of Francophone Canada seems more English. The villages follow each other along a road which winds through the middle of a forest. The Eastern Townships have a very imposing landscape. Agrotourism is one of the main activities in the region, and this was where I found out about it. I visited the vineyards. But there's more than that, there are lots of country restaurants, maple syrup producers, orchards, and producers of local specialties, that you can have a good time visiting with your family and friends, or as a couple, during your <a href="/canada/">trip to Canada.</a> Finally, there are 4 national parks in this region. So you can imagine how many outdoor activities there are for visitors, and they change with the seasons.
