One piece of advice: avoid the southern hemisphere's summer rainy season. The low visibility at that time of year makes diving impossible and the water becomes infested with jellyfish.

An Australian must see for all those who love the sea!

The Great Barrier Reef is accessible from several cities on the east coast. You mustn't hesitate to go there several times, to different places, because the reef is not the same throughout!
