The trip to Halong Bay was great however, having described what I was looking for before booking the trip, I am surprised I did not even get a warning in terms of how touristic my destination was going to be on those days. Of course Halong Bay is a touristic destination but I was under the impression that we were going to get a more real 'feeling of it'. We loved the stay on the boat, the crew did a great job, meals were great and we appreciated the detail of the cake they gave us because it was our honeymoon. Activities though, overrated. Us + other thousands tourist doing the same thing.
