Located on the Mediterranean coast, this charming port city is highly appreciated by western holiday makers. Less "bling-bling” than Bodrum, Fethiye is perfect for a few days of rest.

Don't forget your beach bag, Fethiye is particularly popular for its waterfront.
An adorable little seaside port, Fethiye is a nice destination to head for on the Mediterranean coast if you want to spend a little time taking things easy and relaxing.

A few kilometers away lies the ghost town of Kayaköy, with its thousands of abandoned stone houses. These were left intact as a reminder of the population exchange that took place between Turkey and Greece.

My suggestion
I really liked the pedestrian street along the seafront, with all its little cafes, restaurants and tea salons. The tea in Turkey, by the way, is delicious, especially the apple variety – a local specialty.
