Tibet
Tibet was an exceptional life experience that we are encouraging all our friends and family to experience. The contrasting cultures, the beauty of the landscape, the beauty of Everest and the stunning Monastery and Palaces along the way. A safe country with a unique culture. This holiday had everything. The trekking was not too difficult. We walked 20 kms aroubd the shops in Lhasa and yet only 1 km to reach Everest Base Camp. It was great fun.
The best parts:
Liked: Shigatse, Everest and Lhasa. Enjoyed the explanations of the ordinary everyday lives of people in Tibet. We really liked that you allowed us tontailor the trip at thenlast minute so we could cone straight back from Everest to Lhasa and therefore have an extra day in Lhasa. That completely made the trip as we had good time to do shopping and visit the Palace.
The worst parts:
Disliked: public toilets. I was not ready for a hole in the floor as a toilet. I think 'simple' is an under statement and for those of us in the West not something we are familiar with anymore.
