Machu PIcchu: THE experience of your trip to Peru !

My suggestion

Try to be among the first to arrive at Machu Picchu, from 6 a.m. There are fewer people and the ruins look mysterious under the morning mist. Be aware that the restaurant on the site is ridiculously expensive, so bring a picnic with you.

Machu Picchu has, since 2007, been listed as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and certainly merits its reputation. This is an absolute must-see during a holiday in Peru.

My suggestion

Go on one of the many treks around Machu Picchu to get a great insight into this ancient city. Even better, hit the famous Inca Trail or one of the other treks leading to Machu Picchu.

My suggestion

It is strongly advised that you buy your ticket in advance, either on arrival at Cuzco or on the official website, because entrance numbers are limited! It's the same for the famous Inca Trail, make sure that you book well in advance.
