Go early enough to avoid the tourists.

Make sure you take wet-weather clothing or your holiday may be ruined. There are a lot of students in Stavanger, so remember to take a look at the city's programme of activities and festivals and plan a few outings.

Take walking shoes, sun cream and a back pack and go for a walk to Preikestolen or Kjeragbolten. There's no excuse not to go there now as new bus lines have been created which make it easier to get to.
