The word "cenote" comes from the Mayan language and means "water cavern". Yucatan has approximately 3,000. Dzintup cenote is different from the rest because of its composition.
Dive in! There are vines dangling over the natural swimming pool so let your inner child loose and throw yourself into the refreshing water.

One of Yucatán's most famous and perhaps most beautiful cenotes, just a few kilometres from Valladolid.
Many tour operators offer a combined trip to Chichen Itza and Cenote Dzitnup. However, opt instead to visit these two sites on your own: you'll enjoy the second of them much better if you aren't surrounded by hordes of noisy tourists.
