Again, there was too much to highlight as positives. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip, and would definitely go back to Kenya, although with a slightly different itinerary. The tour company, and especially the driver, were amazing. The Lodge and Hotel staffs were equally amazing! The country is a rich and beautify place. The flora and fauna Kenya were absolutely rich and breathtakingly beautiful and greatly exceeded my expectations. The people of the country, from the Maasia people welcoming us into their village, to the people working in the resorts and Lodges were an absolute pleasure to get to know. To a person, they were some of the friendliest people I have ever met in my travels!!
I loved almost everything about the trip. Too many points to list, but our driver Abdi has to be highlighted as being the biggest single positive factor.
The boxed lunches for the long commutes between parks. They were of poor quality, and three of our 5 person group believe we contracted food poisoning from the last one we received during the commute from Taita to the Beach Resorts.
Also the long commutes between the parks themselves especially with the constant high-pitched alert that the vehicle had reached the governed limit of 80 Kpmh. I personally think that Lake Nakuru was not worth the trip and that I would have preferred to stay two nights at Amboseli instead.
One last thing that was annoying given the price of the tour, was the fact that the non-alcoholic drinks (including water) at the resorts was not included in the price. Yes we received water in our rooms for such things as brushing our teeth, but to have to pay for it in the restaurants was a little petty in my opinion.
