I’ve just returned from Guatemala (my tenth time in about 45 years) as your client, for one week in early November, 2017. Evaneos, and Mary, the local agent, provided me with superb, caring service. They looked after me really well. I booked a private tour, with emphasis on seeing new things. I was concerned that the guide might not be a great one, and such a disappointment that would be. However, the guide, was splendid! He did everything in his power to give me virtually the trip of a lifetime and he succeeded. The food at the restaurants was excellent, Gallo beer likewise. The people were friendly and happy to play with my wonderful toy, a Power Bar that lit when held by 2 people. Again, I found the guide, Eli, to be a wonderful companion and conversationalist. Having spent years in the US, we had no communication problems. And yes, the food and accommodations were fine. I had received a new hip half a year ago and am not fully recovered. I was taken up on horseback and it was awkward as the horse owner wouldn’t lengthen the stirrups. On the way down it was too dangerous so I got off the horse and 2 guides supported me carefully for about 2 kms.

We did a two week tour around Guatemala with 28 people, visiting the highlights of the country. We were in Antigua, Panajachel, Livingstong , Flores and Tikal. There were so many memorable moments! The views were amazing, the attention we got everywhere was first class.

We have seen the whole country, but the most amazing for us was Tikal.

Guatemala has been my #1 bucket list item for years, and I finally made it happen. I could've never planned it as well as Lorena did, and so perfectly. I visited 6 cities in 10 days, and one place in particular (semuc champey) was not easily accessed. I wasn't the easiest of clients since I was only staying for such a short time, and she had to figure out all the details as to how to make it happen. The views from the top of acatenango were incredible, the limestone pools of semuc champey, river tubing and cave tour was AWESOME there. So many fun adventures I couldn't even have imagined in my wildest dreams. By far, my favorite part was the people in Guatemala. They are so nice, and having travelled alone, I couldn't have picked a better place to do my first solo, out of the country trip. There were so many highlights, it's hard to pick a favorite.
