Go there during the great festival in early January and taste the Caldas aged rum that is distilled there.
Manizales is a town in central Colombia, at the foot of the the Nevado del Ruiz Volcano, in the Coffee Triangle.
My suggestion
Manizales could be great for a weekend away. The town is only a thirty minute flight from Medellín and Bogotá.
